Weber's Alpha RFID label applicator automatically encodes, verifies and applies pressure-sensitive RFID smart labels to cartons in line at high production rates. In addition, if the system determines that a tag is not verifiable, that tag will be rejected before application and retained on the smart label's liner.
This unique system provides high-quality smart labeling that will help meet the RFID supply chain requirements of major retailers and government agencies
As a smart label is unwound from its supply roll and approaches the unit's wipe-on applicator, an RFID encoder transmits digital data to the thin, ultrahigh frequency (UHF) tag that is embedded between the pressure-sensitive label material and its liner.
Immediately following encoding, the information is verified by the system. If an individual tag can not be verified, the applicator automatically disengages
and the faulty label is rewound onto the unit's take-up roll for subsequent disposition.
The Alpha RFID applies smart labels up to 4.72" wide and 6" long at high speed, yet maintains
