One Carton, Two Labels, One Machine
The Model 5100 Twin-Tamp
The Model 5100 Twin-Tamp systems are specifically engineered to print a pair of labels and apply them to adjacent panels of cartons in a single operation.
Our Twin-Tamp systems also are available with a choice of print engines to provide 203- or 300-dpi label imprinting. Handling a range of label sizes up to 6" wide and 6" long, each system prints information at speeds programmable up to 12" per second. Label placement is accurate to ±0.03".
When the initial label is printed and peeled from its liner, it is fed onto a tamp pad and retained by a vacuum. The tamp pad is mounted to a 90-degree swing arm that reaches across a conveyor to blow the label on to the front panel of a moving carton. Upon the arm's return, a second label is printed and a separate straight-line stroke applies that label to the side of the carton.
The systems also can be configured to label side and rear panels, or single panels.
Print, Encode & Apply RFID Smart Labels
The Model 5200rfid Series
This unique system provides every advantage of simultaneous label printing and application, then adds RFID smart label encoding and verification.
The Model 5200rfid identifies and isolates non-readable smart labels before they are applied. If an RFID inlay can not be verified, the system's unique swing plate is deployed and collects the label prior to application. Print engine operation and media handling are not altered.
A selection of 203-dpi print engines is available to print, encode, verify and dispense smart labels up to 5" wide and 6" long at up to 12" per second. The print engines support a range of EPC protocols and can be upgraded to meet Generation 2.
Based on our dependable Model 5200, it's the most versatile system of its kind.
Application Specific
Weber's wide range of standard label printer-applicators is suitable for most carton and product labeling applications. However, we also provide special systems and configurations that address less common requirements:
• Cornerwrap units for two-panel labeling
• Pallet load systems
• Extended or variable-height tamp units
• Higher-speed systems, and more
We also offer a selection of labeling accessories to make any labeling operation more efficient. For example, our carton handling system facilitates the labeling of knocked-down cartons, and a universal friction feeder eases the handling of collapsed cartons, cardstock and envelopes.
It's Weber's aim to make labeling easier and more efficient.
Our heavy-duty T-base stand is ideal for Weber's entire line of label applicators and printer-applicators. Constructed of rugged tubular steel and fitted with over-sized casters, the adjustable stand makes it easy to position and move the applicator.
