Options

External Finishing Widths Holes or Slots The 38 mm (1.5 in.) wide heater is themost efficient size due to its maximumclamping effect. Heaters are available in widths from 16 mm (0.63in.) to 610 mm (24 in.).Heaters 125 mm (5 in.) wide andgreater are constructed with end folds and a reinforcement shim rather than full folds. Units less than 35 mm (1.38in.) wide have the sheath seam on the side opposite the terminals. When required for instrumentation or mounting, holes or slots may be provided as a manufactured variation in nearly any location as long as there is at least 25 mm (1 in.) between the edge of the hole and one side of the heater. Dimensional drawing is required when ordering. Distributed Wattage
Die and Former Heaters Extrusion Four Sides Closed A mica strip heater can be designedwith varying heat profile along thelength for uneven heat distribution. Mica strip heaters can be closed on all four sides to prevent contamination from getting inside the heater. Standard on strip heaters127 mm (5 in.) wide and greater.
