Konrad Technologie GmbH, a leading developer of customer-specific test systems and automated optical inspection solutions, recently chose the G12 Mass InterConnect to act as the interface between their new Open Test Platform (OTP) and the device-under-test (DUT). Using a variety of Agilent hardware and software, including the new 34980A Multifunction Switch/ Measure unit as the system core, the OTP is flexible and scalable to allow expansion for new test requirements. With cable assemblies specific to each modular instrument used in the Agilent 34980A, as well as power and pneumatic connections, the G12 provides a reliable and repeatable interface designed to withstand over 20,000 mating and unmating cycles. Our rugged platform provides a surface for any type of custom fixturing required for the DUT. Innovative QuadraPaddle modules enable consolidation of as many as 192 signal points in a single receiver slot and 480 signal points in 2 receiver slots.

Cal-Bay Systems, Inc. is a company that creates PC Based Solutions for Measurement and Control. The 20 inch platform G12 Solution is an integral part of the FTS-200 Mixed-Signal Functional Test System Platform. The system uses the tabletop mounting receiver. The Mass InterConnect interface provides a standard connectivity from the unit under test (UUT) to the instrumentation hardware making it possible to test different devices with one test system. Bed-of-nails UUT fixtures can be interchanged with validation fixtures to execute production tests or system validation. The G12 solution provides housing for twelve modules to handle the mixed-signal requirements of the FTS-200 Test Platform. It can be configured to accommodate up to 2,880 signal contacts. The reliability of the G12 surpasses 20,000 mating and unmating cycles.
