V630M Drilling system

For drilling of steel profiles Voortman offers a complete range of CNC-controlled drilling systems. The V630M is designed for fabricators who require a large production capacity. The V630M is fitted with one vertical and two horizontal servo-controlled drilling units and each unit is provided with an automatic tool changer. Due to the automatic tool changers the V630M system can operate independently for long periods and profiles can be drilled simultaneously in both flanges and in the web. The positioning of a profile in the machine is carried out by, a machine integrated feeder roll positioning system. The V630M drilling system can be combined with a horizontal industrial band saw from the VB-range, a hydraulic numbering machine and/or a beam coping system. The sawing machine and the numbering machine will be integrated in the production line of the drilling system using the industrial conveyors of the drilling system. For a larger production capacity the sawing system and drilling system can be split into separate lines. After sawing, the profiles will be transported with cross transport into the drilling system automatically. For further automation of the pre-fabrication a Voortman shot blaster can be added to the production line. Therefore one operator can centrally control all these machines for drilling, sawing and shot blasting. The V630M is fitted with a computer control system suitable for importing DSTV- and DSTV
+ -Data. The system also has a batching facility to compose production batches. With production batches out of one or more starting lengths several products can be produced automatically in one production run.
