Fast gateway to fi eldbus – low system costs

GATE 3S is a communication link between local network for transferring weight, force or servo data over external networks (fi eldbuses) to PCs or PLCs.GATE 3S can be connected to most existing fi eldbuses. The PROFIBUS-DP, the most widely- used fi eldbus, is kept in stock as standard, and other fi eldbuses are available as options. Depending on the PLC and fi eldbus used, up to 16 units can be connected to GATE 3S. One of the special features of GATE 3S is its very fast transmission rates. It updates as an example fi ve attached AST 3 units 50 times per second.GATE 3S signifi cantly reduces overall system costs compared against equipping each weigh system with separate fi eldbus interfaces.The GATE 3S display is used for set-up and service, and to monitor relevant data such as weights, set values and positions. It also indicates the status of the transmission.
