With Viking Lid-Ease® Basket Strainers

Viking Lid-Ease® Basket Strainers increase pump life by removing rust, scale, weld beads and other material before they enter the pump elements A strainer eliminates foreign objects that can jam pumps, break parts and tear up drives- That's why tine strainers are recommended on the inlet side of all positive displacement pumping systems.

Viking Quality Construction

Viking Lid-Ease® strainers are high-quality, easy-to-clean line strainers that are designed for applications in the chemical, petrochemical and most general fluid-flow industries. These single, or "simplex" style, stainers are offered with tapped, flanged or grooved porting and are available for %, 1, VA, m, 2, 3, A, 6 and 8 inch piping.

The basket and screen (available in 10, 20, 40, 60. 80 or 100 mesh) are constructed of stainless steel. Nominal capacities range from 8 to 780 GPM with a rated pressure of up to 200 PSI.

Strainer bodies and lids are presently available in cast iron, ductile iron, aluminum or stainless steel.

Low Pressure Drop

Viking Lid-Ease® Strainers are designed for minimal pressure drop through the unit Excellent pressure drop curves are achieved by the inclined position of the strainer basket adjacent to the porting. This provides smooth flow patterns not found in conventional basket type stainers.

Easy To Clean

No special tools are needed for lid removal. A simple lid rotation disengages the breech-lock lid to permit easy removal of the basket. The basket is removed from the top of the strainer to eliminate foreign matter from dropping back into the line when the strainer is cleaned. The strainers are equipped with a drain plug for complete draining, if required.

Their light-weight and small overall dimensions make it possible to install Viking Lid-Ease® Line Strainers in systems that cannot accommodate larger strainers of equal porting size.

Simple rotation of the lid disengages the breech lock for easy removal. No special tools

required.

The inclined position of the strainer basket adjacent to the parting allows for smooth flow patterns.
