| | | The T2500 Time/Frequency Counter occupies one PCI slot in a PC and combines the performance of more expensive stand-alone counters with the convenience of the personal computer. The related software creates a graphic user-friendly interface and provides advanc ed functions for c ontrol, diagnostic s and statistic al proc e ssing of the measurement data. The heart of the instrument is a newly developed FPGA c ounter devic e, which c ontains a complete interpolation time counter with two precision two-stage Time-to-Digital Converters, a FIFO memory which allows for very high measurement rate, two look-up tables (HJT) for nonlinearity correction on-the-fly, and a dedicated microcontroller.
