The data logger VPA-0270 serves for the monitoring and event storage in four channels with the following features:

• one DMS-strap input

• two Pt-100-inputs

• one frequency input for NPN or PNP signals

• battery backed alarm memory for maximal 50.000 stored events

• battery backed real time clock

• serial interface for PC-communication

• event monitoring in second cycle

The function of the data logger covers the permanent storage of the four channels in second time. Acomparison of the current measurements is permanently carried out with switching thresholds (alarm thresholds) defined before. A transgression or underrun of the thresholds is understood as an event to record in writing and is stored with the date and time.

The data logger with connecting elements, all functional moduls and the data memory is on the circuit board witch can be put into an open hat rail case approx. 110 mm x 110 mm. It is conceived for the installation into a control cubicle and can be puton on a hat rail.

The configuration of the data logger as well as the access to the stored event data is carried out with a PC-programme.
