The Tyrolit Group’s history started a long timeago: back in 1895, when Daniel Swarovski founded the first laboratory for the processing of industrial crystal glass in Wattens, Tirol, Austria; shortly afterwards he obtained the patent for the first grinding machine manufacturer.This was just the beginning. In 1919 Tyrolit beganto operate, driven by the spirit of Perfection and by the special attention to its customers’ needs that has enabled the company to lead the way constantly in the field of Research & Development as well as in the development of new products and services.Nowadays Tyrolit – which has its headquarter inSchwaz, Austria – is the main European producer of bonded abrasive tools for cutting, grinding, core drilling, retipping and polishing.Tyrolit has always been investing millions of Euroin Research and Technological Development. Thanks to these investments, Tyrolit can place at its customers' disposal innovative and high quality products.This is part of a continuous improvement processthat enables to develop products with increasingly better performances, capable of satisfying the rapidly changing needs of the customers.The Group is made up of several productionplants (some twenty) located all over the world, sales branches and representative centers in over 60 countries, from the United States to the Far East.Tyrolit includes 5 Divisions: These are Tyrolit’s key values: close contact toits customers, innovation, flexibility, speed, respect for men and the environment in which it operates.The Group is certified according to EN ISO9001:2000; it has a quality management system for all production and sales processes that translates into integrated solutions with high quality levels and top services.
