Function The single large orifice valve releases or adds large volumes of air from or to the pipeline.Combined with a closable small orifice valve acting as a double orifice, small air volumes or bubbles are released from the pipeline. A complete combination (AVRS 2) with a surge check valve that operates as an anti-slam valve will dampen sudden pressure or volume rise and protect both orifice valves from slammed shut-off and so waterhammer in the pipeline.
