With over 26 years in the business of ancillary equipment for plastics production, TSM Control Systems are world leaders in profit enhancing control solutions, - from gravimetric blending to material waste control and handling systems. TSM are recognised specialists in Gravimetric Blending and integrated Extrusion Control systems - who else can confidently boast systems that can recoup their cost in as little as 60 DAYS.
TSM Corporate and Product Overview - 37217 Batch BlendingTSM provide a range of low cost, compact batch blenders designed for on-line / off-line blending in both extrusion and moulding, for up to 12 materials. They provide accurate blend ratios and batch homogeneity with a consistency superior to competitive blenders, based on the TSM patented mixing technique. The range of throughputs extends from 30 - 3000 kg/hr (60-6610 lbs.) with a high temperature option for blending hygroscopic materials. Integrated extrusion control is also available across our complete blender range. All TSM batch blenders are ruggedly constructed of heavy gauge steel to withstand the most rigorous of operating conditions and the load cell for weighing is overload protected and guarded against physical damage.Continuous BlendingTSM provide consistent continuous homogenous blending systems for up to 8 components. The blender is mounted directly over the extruder to ensure the perfect composition of blended material is fed directly on the extruder screw, with no further mixing requirement. The Sigmablend controls the blend percentages while also maintaining the extruder throughput at the desired level, i.e. Kg/hr control. Haul off speed measurement can be added to ensure that the weight per length is controlled to the desired specification (yield control). This ensures that the product being produced is maintained at the desired thickness without operator intervention. This mode can be extended to weight per area control through entry, or auto measurement of material widthExtrusion Supervisor SystemFor process management, recipe management and production management, the Windows-XP based TSM 9000 Supervisory System co-ordinates and monitors temperature profiles, blending, width, thickness and throughput on mono and co-extrusion lines with up to 7 layers. The system provides a central operator interface to the extrusion process and downloading/ retrieving information from the individual blenders, sensors and controllers utilising client/server architecture designed to run under Windows NT/2000/XP. The "server" runs on the main computer and gathers data, generates material reports, alarm reports, and administers the recipe downloads. The system can also support up to 8 "clients |
