Speed and performance Versatility/Complexity Accuracy PURPOSE The unique features predestine this machining centre for engineering production in medium and large series. It has been applicable for precision machining of plastic and metal work pieces with sophisticated geometric shapes, where the version equipped with the movable counter spindle makes possible complex machining of work pieces to be finished using a single machine tool. The machine tool will be beneficial to productivity growth along with the considerable decrease in capital costs when used either for bearing rings production, batch production of flanges, clutch plates or half-axles for automotive industries. The dimensions and technical standard also make this SBL 300 CNC machining centre ideal for application as a teaching aid for either secondary schools or universities. Turret The tool turret with hydraulic arrestment will make possible considerable saving of machining process incidental times. Constant output in all modes There is a wide range of main drive outputs, from 7 to 15 kW, and 23 kW at short-run overloading. Programmable tailstock with position measurement The tailstock assures machining of the parts without the need for automatic cycle stop, which reduces the time in the machining process to a great extent Heat-balanced spindle The spindle is imbedded into the bearings with the oblique contact to achieve high accuracy, rigidity and reliability. Counter spindle revolutions This spindle is capable of operating at 4000 and 5000 rev./min.-1. Counter spindle synchronized with the main one The counter spindle is capable of capturing the work piece without the need to stop the main spindle once turning is finished on the main spindle – synchronization of both of the spindles makes possible this operation. Hydraulic rest with the thrust rollers automatic lubrication The NC programmable traverse of the self-cantering rest with the wide clamping diameter range makes possible operation in the following modes: • support of the work piece free end (work piece front alignment, centre punch mark); • support of the extremely small work pieces; • application as the parallel rest with axes Z locked. Driven tools The driven tools make possible boring and milling without the need to change clamping of the work piece after turning. These integrated operations are beneficial to reduction of the machining periods.
