Optical Bond
Optical Bonding is the process of fastening two or more optical elements together using a transparent liquid adhesive
that has an index matched refractive index. Selecting the adhesive that corresponds to the display's index of refraction
and overlay allows Optical Bonding to eliminate all air gaps, reducing the amount of the internal reective surfaces and
improving optical performance. This process also ruggedizes the display, making it more durable and able to resist higher
amounts of shock, vibration, and moisture.
UV curing allows for faster process time over silicone
Eliminates condensation/moisture between the display and overlay
Improves sunlight readability up to 400%
Increased ruggedization and vandal prevention
Thinner and lighter designs, increased contrast
Eliminates parallax issues, reduced internal reections
Gasket Bond
Gasket Bonding oers excellent thermal and mechanical performance, working with a large selection of at panels and
overlays. A Gasket Bond is created by lling the space between a at panel display and its overlay with gasket material
dened by demand.
Perimeter Bond/Hermetic Seal
Hermetic Seal protects and enhances the LCD’s resistance to moisture and humidity
Prevents failures due to gasket material decomposition
Creates a sealed air gap between the polarizer and the cover glass
Eliminates pooling and other common interface concerns
Well suited to touch screen integration
Can replace any traditional gasket when a cleaner, more cost eective, ruggedized seal is required
