Main advantages of SKL vertical lathes and vertical turning centers The SKL vertical lathes are supplied in three sizes with the table diameters of 800, 1000 and 1250 mm. These machines are different from all other machine types manufactured in TOSHULIN, a. s. They consist of the welded frame formed by the bed, by the columns, by the rail head and by the ram. Moreover, the two–column conception of these machines enables to increase considerably the swing for machining towards the table diameter. The machine cross rail provides the connection between the columns in a very effective way. It is fixed together with these columns. The tool magazine can be specified for 16 tools or 24 tools. It is a disk magazine and it is located on the floor on the right side next to the machine. The magazine motion and its positioning are provided by the servo drive. The SKL vertical lathes are specified most of all for these customers, who appreciate the good relationship between the quality and the sales price. The preconditions are also the short delivery time as well as the short time necessary for the machine assembly and its putting into operation at the customer’s site.
