The vertical lathes made in TOSHULIN, a. s. are specified for high-efficient and precise turning Application operations. Moreover, they enable also drilling operations, thread cutting, milling operations and of vertical lathes grinding operations. The vertical lathes have been designed in such a way, that it is possible to perform even the most demanding operations suitable for the vertical lathe machining centre.

It is possible to machine the following:

• external and internal cylindrical surfaces and front surfaces with the constant cutting speed

• external and internal conical and general surfaces

• external and internal threads, metric as well as inch type.

The machines equipped with the third controlled C-axis and with the rotary tool drive allow:

• high-efficient drilling and thread cutting also outside the table rotation axis

• milling of general shapes horizontally or vertically towards the table

• grinding of general shapes vertically towards the table

On the customer's wish it is possible to design and to supply also special vertical lathe versions in order to obtain the maximum efficiency at machining operations.

protection, safety of work and ecology according to Directives 98/37/EC, 89/336/EEC, of Work

73/23/EEC and they have the „CE" mark available.

History The tradition of the company known in the past as TOS Hulfn originated in 1949 when the machinery plant began to be built in Hulfn. The company had passed through several development periods of machinery manufacturing and in 1951 the company's activity was specialized in manufacturing of machine tools,

especially of vertical lathes.

In 1959 the company manufactured the first vertical lathe with continuous feeds and with the NC line motion control system equipped with the copying attachment. This vertical lathe was made on the base of the company's own documentation. The plant started manufacturing this generation of machines as one of the first ones in the world. The well-proved vertical lathes with the automatic tool exchange performed from the tool magazine having fifteen positions were manufactured here as early as in 1974.

During the time period of its existence the company has delivered more than 13 000 machine tools to 58 countries in the world. The company's target is to keep the cooperation with foreign partners and customers also in the future and to develop it even more. The vertical lathes made in TOSHULIN, a. s. work reliably in

hard production conditions very often for many dozen years.

designing department, on the experience of engineers and workers as well as on the high-quality workmanship of machine mechanical parts in connection with application of the latest components.

Thanks to the fifty years' experience, TOSHULIN, a. s. is able to offer the most suitable vertical lathe type

corresponding to the customer's need, as well as it is able to make technology for the customer and to supply tooling.

Important activities are also modernization and major overhauls of machine tools.
