Dear Business Friends, I would like to present the second issue of the company magazine which contains applications of TOS Kuøim machines including their assessments by selected customers. I would also like to introduce several innovations our company has prepared for you. TOS KUØIM – OS is a significant innovator and it can be said that its production range has undergone a complex transformation over the past 7 years. Company TOS Kuøim is known as a manufacturer of small knee-type and bed-type milling machines. Some people know us as a manufacturer of automatic production lines too. Continue at the page 2 Since January 2010 the gantry type machining center FRUA has been working in the ŽÏAS, a.s. company, Žïár nad Sázavou. The FRUA 450 machining centre is the most powerful portal centre produced in the Czech Republic. Basic parameters of the machine are following: table size 4 500 x 14 000 mm, Column to column distance is 5 600 mm, distance between face of the fixture spindle and the top table face is 4 230 mm. Below this machine has a movable cross-rail (W = 3 300 mm) and all of these axis are with hydrostatic guideway. A machining center with motor output 71kW is enable machining of heavy workpieces of complicated dimensions and sophisticated shapes from as many as five, sides and as well as powerfull and hi-speed machining The customer primarily appreciates the following assets, regarding FRUA 450 machining centres: ƒÞ Complete tailor made delivery at the contractor’s full expense (including surrounding technology, machine foundations and building project) ƒÞ Fully automatic tool replacement executed by robot; tools are stored in shelf magazine with 180 pockets ƒÞ Machine equipped with a wide variety of technological accessories, mainly consisting of: – Modern prepared and adjusting tool workstations containing a vertical adjusting device for BMD 566v CCD tools (monitor and integrated PC with automatic data transfer included) – Monitoring equipment TOOL MONITOR PROMETEC – FARO coordinate measurement system – CAD / CAM UOIGRAPHICS software + postprocessor – Video camera with display at operator position – Preparation for magnet fixing – Measuring tool and piece probe ƒÞ Concept of a machine with built-in spindle and 6 standard and special, automatically replaceable spindle heads (according to technical requirements customers, Tos Kurim can additionally secure also special spindle heads) ƒÞ Maximum centre versatility enabling full machining including completion operations The largest portal centre made in the Czech Republic successfully delivered to the customer Application of the TO S KUØIM – OS ma chines
