FC Fiber Collimation Packages

In many DWDM applications and systems, both in the lab and production, chromatic errors can have vital effects on overall efficiency. Since the wavelength band is quite wide, from 80 to 120nm, the chromatic aberrations can be rather severe if the

lens used is not achromatic (insensitive to different wavelengths). This achromatic collimating lens is custom designed by Thorlabs to incorporate diffractive components along with the refractive, aspheric properties of the lens to keep the chromatic aberrations
