GLASSDESCRIPTIONTRANSMISSION Optical Systems

SF11This glass has a high refractive index420nm to 2.3µmwhich allows for less curvature to create the same amount of refraction. It is useful for constructing optics which would be extremely difficult to make from BK7.GEGermanium plano convex lenses are an 2.0µm to 16µmideal choice for applications from 2.0 µm to 16 µm. Germanium lenses are excellent for long wave infrared imaging, biomedicaland military. ZnSeZinc Selenide plano convex lenses are an 600nm to 16µmideal choice for applications from 600nm to 16 µm. Zinc Selenide lenses are excellent for CO

Frequently Run Coatings are Listed BelowMost of our standard optics are available withhigh performance multilayer AR coatings toreduce surface reflections to less than 0.5% (per surface) within the specified wavelength ranges. These coatings are designed for angles of incidence between 0°and 30°(0.5 NA). For optics intended to be used at large angles, consider using a custom coatingoptimized at a 45°angle of incidence; these coatings are effective from 25°to 52°. The plot shown below indicates the performance of the standard coatings in thisfamily as a function of wavelength. Broadband coatings have a typical absorptionof 0.25%, not shown in the reflectivity plots.
