PRO8000 Laser Modules

Laser Diodes Introduction - PRO8000 Series Laser Sources The LS8000, WDM8000, and the CWDM8000 series are DWDM DFB laser source modules for the PRO8000 platform. Thesemodules cover the 1470-1620nm wavelength range on the 50GHzITU grid and provide 10mW or 20mW. The optical power can be tuned over 10dB, and the wavelength over ±1nm. These light source modules have been designed for excellent stability in power and wavelength for reliable measurement results as required in test setupsto characterize BER link performance and EDFA parameters. Themodules feature internal modulation capabilities for flexible coherence control, especially the triangular modulation format forefficient suppression of stimulated Brillouin scattering in fibers.

This family of optical switching modules provides additional “building-blocks” when configuring automated optical test networks. Four different bi-directional switching models are available, providing highly flexiblerouting of optical paths.
