This high resolution micrometer drivewith 50nm positional resolution is ideally matched in performance tothe capabilities of the NanoMax seriesstages. Full details on this drive can be found on page 371. This Thumbscrew drive is often used in"set & forget" applications or positioning tasks that require a high degree ofstability, but have lower resolutionrequirements making the more expensive high resolution adjuster inappropriate. This stepper motor drive is fully detailedon page 379. When used with our APT series stepper motor driver it provides25,600 microsteps per revolution.

Piezo Electric Extenders

These piezo electric extenders provide 20µm or 80µm of high resolution travel to any of themodular drives shown above. The modular design allows for these extenders to be attached inseries with any of Thorlabs modular drives at any time. These extenders are ideal for applicationsthat require high resolution movements over a small range. Coarse adjustments are made using any one of our modular drives shown above.
