Thermal protector of type M1

Application:

Temperature limiting switches of Series M - Type M1 are utilised for overheating protection of all kinds of electrical equipment or devices, most suitable for electrical motors whereat after overheating and subsequent cooling an automatic resetting is required. The series M1 is fully automatically assembled. By this, the insulation resistance and the contact resistance are checked 100%. Versions SM1, VM1 and CM1
Diameter d (with / without insulation cap) 10.6 / 10.2 mm

Design:

Height h (with / without insulation cap) 3.4 / 3.0 mm The temperature limiting switch Type M1 is based on the well proven mechanism principle of Thermik’s product series 01. Due to a new housing, a specially flat design is reached. Versions:
housing length x 11.5 mm Length of insulation cap l Versions UM1 PM1
19 .0 mm SM1
insulation cap connection leads single VM1
insulation cap connection leads single, impregnation resistant CM1
- connection leads single UM1 PM1
- crimp contacts single or on tape - pcb-terminals single or on tape

Operation:

If, in the case of overheating, the rated switching temperature of the bimetallic disc is reached, it suddenly snaps over and opens the contact. After cooling down beyond its resetting temperature, the bimetallic disc resets to close the contact.

Features:

Specially flat design Fully automated production : for a high number of pieces within short time Versions on tape, on spool : for customers automated production lines Quick response sensitivity : featured by small protector mass and the metal bottom of the housing Excellent long term performance : due to instantaneous switchi ng, fine silver contacts, constant contact resistance and to electrically as well as mechanically unstressed bimetallic disc, reproducible switching temperature values Instantaneous switching : with constant contact pressure over the whole temperature range Very short bounce times :
