Spring Loaded (SLI) Sensor Insert - 28405 Spring Loaded Insert PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Spring Loaded Insert

These inserts are designed to suit all sensor arrangements that utilise thermowells, with or without lagging extensions. Because they are of DIN mounting size they can be used as direct replacements for the inserts of other manufacturers as well as those of Thermal Detection Ltd.

S P E C I F I C A T I O N

MECHANICAL

Sheath Material : 316 stainless steel. Sheath : 3.0mm, 4.5mm, 6.0mm, 8.0mm or 9.5mm OD. Connection block : DIN standard ceramic base (33mm mounting centres) with stainless steel mounting plate and 2, 3, 4, or 6 nickel plated brass poles.

ELECTRICAL

Resistance Thermometer Detector : single or duplex PT100 with 3 or 4 wire connection, Class ‘B’ tolerance and to BS EN 60751:1996. Operating range : -50 to +500°C (-58 to+932°F). Thermocouple Element : single, duplex or triplex elements (dependant on sheath OD), types ‘T’ (Cu/Con), ‘E’ (NiCr/ Con), ‘J’ (Fe/Con) ‘K’ (NiCr/NiAl) or ’N’ (Nicrosil/Nisil) to BS EN 60584-1:1996. Operating range : -50 to +850°C (-58 to +1562°F), depending on thermocouple type.

Temperature Transmitter A temperature transmitter with a 4 to 20mA output can be supplied in place of the connection block for both hazardous and non- hazardous duties.
