Single (PG) and Multiple (MHM and MHC) Feedthroughs : Product data sheet No 106 (MHC) - 28405 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Multiple Probe Feedthrough Assembly

The MHC series of feedthroughs have been designed to allow multiple probes of identical diameters, access to a process vessel via a single entry. Sealing is based upon soft sealant technology and this employs various materials which take into consideration the process conditions in order to achieve this. When applying torque to the cap nut it forces the follower to move in a longitudinal direction. This in turn forces the sealant against an internal seat machined into the bore of the gland body. The resultant force causes the sealant to deform and close down on the probe/element and expand into the bore of the body produc-ing a pressure/vacuum barrier. On the MHC the fol-lower has an internal multi-hole insulator and a further similar insulator is placed in front of the sealant, this ensures that feedthroughs are isolated from the gland body. With the exception of Lava and Grafoil®, the other sealants are re-usable. Applications : thermocouples, RTD’s, analytical probes, sensor elements, capillary tubes.
