Mineral Insulated (MIR and MIT) Sensor thermocouples - 28405 Mineral Insulated Temperature Sensor PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Mineral Insulated Temperature Sensor

Manufactured from ready made, stock lengths of stainless steel sheathed cable, containing thermocouple wire held in compacted Magnesium Oxide (MgO). These assemblies can be produced in either PT100 or thermocou- ple formats (see data sheet 052 for PT100’s). The soft annealed stainless steel sheath also allows the user to produce a shape form appropriate to the application, when required.

S P E C I F I C A T I O N

Sheath : 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 3.0, 4.5 or 6.0mm OD in 312, 310 stainless steel or Incoloy. Length as re quired. Insulation : High purity magnesium oxide (MgO).

ELECTRICAL

Element : single, duplex or triplex (dependant on sheath diameter) elements. Type ‘T’ (Cu/Con), ‘E’ (NiCr/Con), ‘J’ (Fe/Con) ‘K’ (NiCr/NiAl) or ‘N’ (Nicrosil/Nisil) to BS EN 60584-1:1996. Operating range : -50 to +1,300°C (-58 to+2,372°F). Flying lead : 100mm (4”) as standard PTFE insulated.
