Mineral Insulated (MIR and MIT) Sensor resistance thermometers - 28405 Mineral Insulated Temperature Sensor PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Mineral Insulated Temperature Sensor

Manufactured from ready made, stock lengths of stainless steel sheathed cable, containing thermocouple wire held in compacted Magnesium Oxide (MgO). These assemblies can be produced in either PT100 or thermocou- ple formats (see data sheet 051 for thermocoupless). The soft an-nealed stainless steel sheath also allows the user to produce a shape form appropriate to the application, when required.

S P E C I F I C A T I O N

Sheath : 3.0, 4.5 or 6.0mm OD in 316 stainless steel. Length as required. Insulation : High purity magnesium oxide (MgO).

MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL

Resistance Thermometer Detector : PT100 with 2, 3 or 4 wire connection, Class ‘B’ or ‘A’ tolerance and to BS EN 60751:1996. Operating range : -50 to +500°C (-58 to+932°F). Flying lead : 100mm (4”) as standard, PTFE insulated. ® Thermal Detection 2007
