PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Ambient Air Professional temperature sensor Ambient Air Temperature Sensor supplier

This unit has been designed for use where the constant monitoring of ambient conditions is a requirement. The detector is housed within a stainless steel sheath and the enclosure utilises a silicone seal which provides protection up to IP67. The materials of construction allow it’s use in colds rooms, laboratories, cleaning rooms and for frost protection duties on outside plant.

S P E C I F I C A T I O N

MECHANICAL

Sensor sheath : 6mm OD (0.118”) x 75mm (2.95”) long and in 316L stainless steel. Case : 82mm (3.23”) x 80mm (3.15”) x 55mm (2.17”) and in ABS material or 80mm (3.15”) x 75mm (2.95”) x 57mm (2.24”) in die-cast aluminium. Complete with a 3 or 4 pole termination block on an internal mounting plate. Environmental : ambient temperature range –40 to +80°C (with excursions to +90°C). Rated to IP67. ABS material flame resistance to UL94HB.

ELECTRICAL

Detector : single or duplex PT100 to class ‘B’ or ‘A’ tolerance and with 3 or 4 wire connection to BS EN 60751:1996. Suppliers of temperature transmitter A temperature transmitter with a 4 to 20mA output can be supplied in place of the termination block for use in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas. Where there is a danger that the sensor sheath could be mechanicaly damaged, a smaller diameter sensor sheath mounted within an outer perforated shroud can be fitted as an alternative arrangement. Sensor sheath : 3mm OD (0.118”) x 75mm (2.95”) long and in 316 stainless steel. Outer protective shroud : 9.53mm OD (0.375”) x 80mm (3.15”) long and in 316 stainless steel.
