The Terberg KingLifter truck mounted forklift truck types M and L can be manufactured with a 4-way steering system. The 4-way steering system transforms the truck mounted forklift into an advanced side loader.The advantages of a 4-way steering control system are evident: for example, it is possible to manoeuvre on a small work surface, and long loads are easy to transport through narrow passages thanks to the wheels that rotate through 90º. Four wheel drive means that there is an optimal trans- mission of power from the wheels to the road surface. Surface irregularaties are negotiated without a problem thanks to the 4-way system.The versatile nature of the Terberg KingLifter is underlinedby the fact that it can be used as a forklift truck in area where the permissable floor load does not allow the use of a 'normal' forklift. The KingLifter can be deployed virtually anywhere due to its lightweight construction. When the front wheels are retracted the portable forklift truck continues to function normally. This emphasises the unique concept of the Terberg 4-way system. The steering cylinders and the hydraulic hoses are installed in the wheels giving the components excellent pro- tection from damage when in use.
