Longer-lasting transmission belts Transmission developments With the trend towards higher-power transmissions, engine components need to be able to withstand increasingly demanding operating conditions – and transmission belts are no exception. Metal chains are increasingly being replaced by rubber belts to achieve lower CO2 emissions. Loading transmission in the agricultural industry is another growth area, requiring more effective reinforcement. Improving the quality of the rubber and reducing the noise level are also key challenges.
