ErP Guidelines | The first phase concerns electric motors with an output range of 0.75 kW to 375 kW. The main technical difference besides higher efficiency IE2 is the option of controlling revolutions only by means of a frequency converter and built-in thermistors as sensors assessing overheating of motors. In the second stage, i.e. from 01.01.2015, IE3 efficiency shall be required for motors within the output range of 7.5 kW to 375 kW, working only at nominal rotational speed.
