deltaflow pitot tube:simple, precise, adaptable
Portable Flow Rate MeasurementUsing the Prandtl Tube Principle
The deltaflow pitot tube can be used anywhere it isnecessary to establish flow profiles and verify volume
measurements. The principle is tried and true: Use the hand-held deltaflowpitot tube measurement probe at various locations along thecross section to calculate the flow rate from the measureddifferential pressure—just as you have always done using
the classic Prandtl tube system. The deltaflow pitot tube has a whole series of advantages: • Ease of use • High degree of precision • Best adaptability to unique processes >
From the Industry – For the Industry:Optimal Usability
Straight construction makes insertion easy The measurement profile of the deltaflow pitot tube isperfectly cylindrical. The time-tested deltaflow measurementprofile measures a maximum of 22mm in diameter, the
attachable guidance tube measures 25mm. This means that
the deltaflow pitot tube can quite easily be inserted into the
sampling cross-section through existing connections or
mountings. Using a special insertion mounting, the deltaflowpitot tube can be inserted into the process under sealedconditions through a 1“
industrial ball valve. >
For the Most DemandingApplications: Proven deltaflow
Precision
Detachable extensions make transport easy Even people who have to work with large diameters prefer towork with a measuring instrument that is easy to transport.
This is no problem with the new deltaflow pitot tube: thenewly-developed threaded coupling allows you to simplydisassemble the deltaflow pitot tube and then reassemble it
in the desired length! And because our coupling requires no
temperature-sensitive sealings or gaskets, the deltaflow can
be used under even the most minimal of process conditions. Measure more precisely with the proven deltaflowprofile The deltaflow profile was tested and developed incooperation with the Department of Flow Mechanics at the
University of Erlangen. With its acceleration returns and itssharp tear-off edge, it has achieved the highest level o f measurement linearity. This has been established by the
PtB as well as others. In addition, when compared to aPrandtl tube, the differential pressure has beensignificantly increased, which means that much lower flow
rates can be measured more precisely. The deltaflow is
not even susceptible to transverse flows: you can hold thedeltaflow at an angle of up to 10° without effecting theprecision of the measurement. >
