Optimized Flow Profile YieldsMaximum Precision The secret to the deltaflow’s profile is in its acceleration curves and its sharp separation edges. The profile was developed and opti- mized through extensive testing by systec Controls in collaboration with the Department of Flow Dynamics at the University of Erlangen. The acceleration curves increase the flow speed at the sepa- ration edges several times over. The sharp separation edge causes a continually defined reduction in flow at the back of the unit. Result: The resistance coefficient re-mains constant throughout the entire sampling range. The degree of preci- sion is maintained even in the lower turbulent sampling range because there is no critical drift of the break- off point. Sampling ranges of 1:30 and larger are completely feasible. Save Up To 90% in Installation Timesand Costs To install your deltaflow dynamic pressure probe, simply weld in a single stud. There is no need to cut open a conduit or spend time welding numerous flanges. The deltaflow can be completely installed in only 1 to 2 hours for many applications! And because it is so lightweight, an installer can single-handedly manage the installation of even the largest probes with- out the aid of any heavy equipment. Neither is there any need for complicated alignment procedures, since incoming flow can approach at an angle of +/–10°with- out affecting the targeted precision levels.

Economical, Precise, and Versatile

Minimal Pressure Loss Results in Mini-mal Energy Costs Unnecessary pressure loss costs money! At some sampling sites, the loss may add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. One decisive advantage a dynamic pressure probe has over classic differential pressure elements is its low-impact, stream- lined design: it creates virtually no constric- tions inside a conduit, resulting in the low- est residual pressure loss of any known dif- ferential industrial pressure transmitter.

The secret of the deltaflow's profile is in its acceleration curves and its sharp separation edges. The profile was developed and optimized through extensive testing by systec controls and it's quality has been certified by many third party testing e.g at the Univerity of Erlangen or the Physikalische technische Bundesanstalt in Braunschweig.

The deltaflow's precisionperformance has been con- firmed by the Technical University at Erlangen: “Based on the calibration results, it can be sta-ted that the deltaflow dynamic pressure probe causes less pressure and energy loss in conduits and enables more precise measurements than the orifices previously used in conduits.” (Dr. F. Durst, Professor)
