Manufactured from premium grade HSSE-V high speed steel to DIN 371/6 standard,the 3% Vanadium contentprovides high wear resistance and toughness for a wide variety of tapping applications. GNi (Gas Nitride) is standard on GG Series taps.This chemical heattreatmentof nitrides and sulphides are combined with the high speed steel of the tools.The area of diffusion has a hardness of approx.900 HVN (approx.67 RC),a minor coefficientof friction,major resistance to wear, stress and corrosion.
