SUMMITMICROELECTRONICS, Inc.SMP9210, -11, -12Dual 10-Bit Nonvolatile DACFEATURES INTRODUCTIONTwo 10-Bit Nonvolatile DACs The SMP9210, -11, -12 family consists of serial input, voltage output, dual 10-bit (1024 steps) digital-to-analog converters. The devices will recall any Dac output voltage on power up and can operate from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply. The maximum output Temperature Coefficient (Tc) of ±25ppm/ 1024 Steps Each DAC, Guaranteed Monotonic Excellent Temperature Stability ±25ppm/o C Max Industrial Temperature Range -40 o C to +85 o C Automatic Power-On Recall C make them ideal for high accuracy andtemperature stable calibration purposes. Internal precision buffers swing rail-to-rail with an input reference range from ground to the positive supply. The parts integrate two 10-bit DACs and their associatedcircuits: an enhanced unity gain operational output ampli- fier, a 10-bit volatile data latch, a 10-bit nonvolatile data register and the I No "Power-On Slew Rate" Requirement Parallel or Independent Operation of DACs Programmable Power Down Mode (Short DACOutputs to GND or Float DAC Outputs) I 2 C Serial Bus Interface Low Noise DAC Output Amplifiers 2.7V to 5.5V Operation, Small SSOP PackageAPPLICATIONS 2 C compatible 2-wire serial interface. The SMP9210 has a Chip Select input to enable/disablecommunication with the device, the SMP9211 has a Mute input to turn the outputs off and the SMP9212 has a reference voltage output.Programming of the configuration, control and calibrationvalues by the user is simplified with the interface adapter and Windows GUI software obtainable from Summit Micro-electronics.
