SWARF CRUSHER

The crushing of long swarf creates a requirement for a cost-saving, automatic swarf processing and handling system.

Swarf crusher RS 300 E in a swarf processing plant consisting of a lifting and tipping unit, swarf crusher RS 300 E, scraper conveyor, a Type Permolex-Polar K51 centrifuge and a second scraper conveyor having a swivelling discharge chute to discharge the crushed swarf into the cus-tomer’s containers.

Swarf crushers of the type RS can be used for crush-ing long swarf of all conventional metals, such as: steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass as produced in turn- ing, milling and drilling operations. Processing these ma- terials as a single crusher or combined with other units in the Steimel product range e.g. conveyors, centrifuges etc. The type RS crushers can be matched to practically any of our customer’s requirements. By using a swarf crusher, the volume of long and curly swarf can, depending on its type, be reduced by 75%.
