Proto® Quality Control
The Proto® Engineering Test and Measurement Laboratory is utilized for product testing and part measurement inspections. It uses advanced measurement equipment and technology ■
while maintaining full metallurgical capabilities. The lab is
ISOPPPP-certiPed. ^^^^^■j^^^^^H
Product quality audits are performed in the Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Centers. Engineering teams incorporate Computer Aided Designs (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis | (FEA) to ensure designs are optimized for performance, ■ aesthetics, and manufacturability. Inspections of initial | material receipt through final assembly and finishing are
|performed to ensure each area of the tool manufacturing ^ process meets the design specifications. Use of "in-process" drawings allows operators to machine and inspect parts at 1 each stage of the manufacturing process. ^^B^H
Cross-functional teams including sales, product management, manufacturing, and engineering help ensure that customer J needs are being addressed in design and development ■ stages. New products are field tested in the pre-production development stage to ensure they stand up to the rigor of 1 actual field use priorto production release. Lfj^L^H
Torque measurement products are fully tested and calibrated
priorto leaving the manufacturing facility. F^MMFJ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^M 1271
