A case in point is our new and innovative Proto® Ratchet, a precision pear-head tool that packs ease of I use and high torque carrying capacity into a compact design. This low-profile tool is perfect for technicians who need to turn fasteners in tight spaces. The ratchet includes a reversing lever that's easy to use with one hand, and a contoured, easy-to-gripj handle with knurled bands that let even sweaty hands keep a I wrenching system. The TorquePlus™ design is a high performance drive configuration which allows for quick and easy socket engagement to the fastener flats, not the corners. The configuration employs a radius-corner design, shifting contact area and stresses over a large area of the socket, minimizing slippage. The internal design of the TorquePlus™ minimizes fastener rounding, helps to extend fastener life, and allows the userto more easily turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. ^^^^^^^^^H tightgrip. To make the ratchet more versatile, we recently introduced a full line of spline sockets. The spline socket/fastener system offers more strength in a smaller profile than conventional fasteners, making it common on military equipment and commercial aircraft. Butspline sockets can also be used on 4,6, and 12 point fasteners. That's because the spline socket/ fastener system lets the user apply more torque without damaging the tool or the fastener head. When used on conventional fasteners, these sockets' geometric profile moves the torque load away from the fastener corners, transferring it over a broader surface area. Even our standard sockets are designed for the toughest jobs. All Proto® hand sockets incorporate the TorquePlus™ Proto's line includes drive tools ranging from 1/4 in. to 1 in. drive that can accommodate socket sizes from 1/16 in. thru 3-1/2 in. and from 2mm to 60mm. Sockets come in standard and deep lengths. Standard length sockets are more suited for close, confined areas, while deep sockets will accommodate nuts where bolts protrude orto access a fastener in a recessed area. We also make a range of specialty tools: aerospace,spud, scaffolding, and utility ratchets; speeders T-Handles, extensions, adapters, and non-ratcheting drive tools. Our boltextractor sockets ease the pain of removing rusted, rounded, or other-wise imperfect nuts and bolts by threading onto the damaged fastener. This low-profile tool easily slips into tight spaces, and can be worked with a variety of wrenches.
