All of our pliers are forged from high quality alloy steel and heattreated to make | them stronger and more durable. Of course, our users take our quality tool construction for granted. Some of the features that set our tools apart from the rest are how good they feel in the user's hands, how easy they are to work with, and how effectively they do the job they're | designed for. Take, for instance, the patented convertible I design on our retaining ring pliers that lets users quickly I switch between internal or external rings without fatigue. Or our Power-Track® II Tongue and Groove pliers, whose I angled teeth can grip a pipe or fastener more securely than the standard right-angle teeth (used on many other pliers) I and whose precision-milled interlocking joint lets users apply more pressure to the work. We have also been hard atwork developing tools with innovative new features. A great example is our line of miniature Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) pliers. Designed to make life easier for people who use small pliers all day, this line of pliers includes a unique, dual-leaf spring design that I automatically opens the jaws when the user relaxes his grip, making itready for the nextoperation. ^^^^^^H Another innovation is the Facom® 1000-Volt Insulated Tool lineup, which includes a variety of pliers, snips, and wire I cutters. These tools are easily recognizable by their thick layer of orange plastic insulation, along with pronounced handle H guards that help keep hands away from the non-insulated parts of the tool. These tools are designed to protect the user against shock when working on live circuits of up to 1000 VAC and H 1500 V DC. Each are individually tested and checked to ensure that they deliver the safety that they promise. ^^^^H Most Proto® pliers have slip-resistant, cushioned handles that reduce the chance of accidents, and make the tool more comfortable to use.
