8/6 8 Internal Catalogue 08.05.2007 Terminal Boxes Series 8146 Terminal box fittings Because of the contact resistances at the terminals and the leads installed in the enclosure, there is a certain power dissipation in every terminal box, which causes heating. In order to ensure that the maximum temperatures of a terminal box are not exceeded, care should be taken that the current loading of the circuits installed in the terminal box do not exceed certain values. The maximum permitted number of conductors for individual terminal boxes, depending on the current loading and conductor cross section, can be found in the following tables. Tables Terminal fittings, number of conductors which can be fitted depending on conductor cross-section and continous current (continuation) 09702E02 09703E02 09704E02 09705E02 Note: explanation of the tables page 9
