TRITON CDS delivers a unique concept in cable sealing techniques incorporating the compensating displace-ment seal system, CDS. Introduced to effectively handle all types and sizes of cable construction reducing worry for the operator and letting the product do the job. This concept provides effective sealing on the cable inner sheath, utilising a proven reliable and robust flameproof sealing device installed with a “best in class” manner. Taking a crucial cable care principal into account in its design, this concept leaves nothing to chance yet delivers the ultimate in assembly and installation simplicity. This guarantees a safety level that is unsurpassed by any other cable gland available. Because of the presence of the CDS sealing system, during installation the cable gland is fully tightened metal to metal every time regardless of cable diameter. A reliable “O” ring arrangement, which is concealed and protected from damage after installation and during service, fulfills this role.The 8163/2 T3CDS series TRITON CDS is also triple certified Exd, Exe and ExnR, and additionally provides deluge protection with extra deluge test approval to DTS 01:91. Continuous operating temperature ranges from–60°C to+130°C.
