Serco’s Safety-Lite ALS/MLS Dock Communication System

is a

simple,reliable and cost effective communication system that reduces the risk ofloading dock accidents. The signaling device alerts truck drivers and dockpersonnel to the status of docked or docking trucks

When a truckbacks into an in- dividual loading dock, the Safety- Lite exterior lamp flashes green, in- dicating to the driver that it is safe to back into the dock. When the trailerreaches the dock and is in place, the dock attendant switches the exte- rior light to red, in- forming the driver it is not safe to move the trailer.Addedsafety is provided to the dock at- tendant through the con- trol panel located inside thedock. When a trailer is properly docked, the exterior light flashes red, informing the driver not to proceed or try to pull away. The green light on the control box illuminates, indicating to the dock attendant that it is safe to load or unload the trailer.

MLS OPERATION:

As the truck backs into position, the exterior light is green and the interior control light is red. The dock attendant manually switches the exterior light to red and the interior light to green. Technical Specifications

ALS OPERATION:

Control panel is interlocked with other dock equipment (dock lev- eler or door), allowing interior and exterior lights to switch automati- cally after a truck is positioned and the operational sequence begins.
