Spi-Module Layup Station 2000

Spi-Module Layup Station 2000

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Spi-Module Layup Station™ 2000 is designed to automate the alignment and placement of solar cell strings for module assembly. It can function as an optional component of the Spi-Assembler™ 6000 or as standalone equipment.
Main Components: The station includes a string unloader robot, a string aligner, and a ball table for module lay-up. These components work together to ensure precise alignment and placement of solar cell strings.
Operation: Once a cell string is completed by the Spi-Assembler, it is positioned by a conveyor belt for pick-up by the string unloader. The unloader can transport the string for visual inspection, stacking, or alignment. Strings are aligned in both X and Y directions, and the unloader can rotate 180° to adjust string polarity if needed.
Features and Benefits:
  • Automates string alignment and placement, reducing manual handling and minimizing cell breakage and contamination.
  • Handles thin cells with minimal mechanical stress.
  • Adjustable for various cell sizes and string positions, with software programmability for string/module configurations.
  • Rugged design suitable for large-scale operations.
Specifications:
  • Cell String Dimensions: Maximum length of 2,000 mm (79 in.).
  • String Placement Pitch: Programmable with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm (0.020 in.).
  • Module Size: Maximum length of 2,000 mm (79 in.) and width of 1,600 mm (63 in.).
  • Equipment Dimensions: Height of 1,880 mm (74 in.), length of 3,810 mm (150 in.), and width of 2,740 mm (108 in.).

Spi-Module Layup Station 2000-1

Spi-Module Lay-up Station™ 2000 Automates String Alignment and Placement he Spi-Module Layup Station™ 2000 automatically aligns and places completed solar cell strings in position for module assembly. The Spi-Module Lay-up Station can be implemented as an option to the Spi-Assembler™ 6000 tabber and stringer, or it can be used as stand-alone equipment. The Spi-Module Lay-up Station includes a string unloader robot for string transport, a string aligner, and a ball table for module lay-up. When the Spi-Assembler completes a cell string, a conveyor belt positions the string for pick-up by the string unloader. The unloader transports the string to either the stack table for visual inspection or placement in a stack, or to the string aligner for alignment prior to lay-up. Strings are automatically aligned in X and Y directions. After alignment, the unloader picks up the string and transports it over a ball table with retractable pads to the appropriate string position for module lay-up placement. When required, the unloader automatically rotates 180° to reverse the string polarity.
