General Description SPI has introduced an external Red Alignment Laser (RAL) for use with its RM and HS models. It is not compatible with the HM range. The RAL assembly is designed to be attached to integrated collimator/isolator of SPI’s pulsed fiber lasers. The unit contains a <1mW Class 2 laser module (650nm nominal) and an adjustable mirror to allow for co-axial alignment with the 1064nm IR beam. This unit can be supplied as fitted during pulsed laser configuration or as an accessory for retrofit. The unit can conveniently be installed in place of the iBDO spacer without increasing the overall length. Output face supports SPI’s range of beam expanders. The unit requires external power and control via a 2- way JST connector.
