Ultrasonic Cylinder Arm Machines

Specialized assembly system for bonding synthetic fabrics and nonwoven materials. Ideally suited for side seams and producing curved or circular piece goods.

General Description

Sonobond Cylinder Arm Machines are specially constructed ultrasonic fabrication systems for producing high quality felled and flat bonded seams in synthetic fabrics and nonwoven materials. A choice of pattern wheels is available to achieve a variety of stitch patterns.

As the name implies, the unique feature of the machine is a cylindrical "arm" extension which allows materials to be "sewn" (fused) in cylindrical shapes. Sonobond offers specialized equipment to handle both off-the-arm and around-the-arm applications. The Off-the-Arm model directs the fabric down the length of the arm. It is ideal for making side seams in sleeves, pant legs, jackets, dresses, and swimwear. The Around-the-Arm model directs curved and circular-shaped fabrics across the extension arm. It is ideal for attaching sleeves, cuffs, collars and binding. It can also be used for continuous or intermittent straight line bonding.
