ADAPTIVE PULSE SWEPT POWER Ultrasonic Performance Meter (UPM) Instant measurement of ultrasonic cleaning tank performance Ultrasonic Performance Meter The Ultrasonic Performance Meter provides accurate understanding of the ultrasonic behavior in an ultrasonic bath. This is achieved by measuring the active power level of the ultrasonic activity in the bath to confi rm that the machine is working up to the required performance. This method of measurement is the equivalent of the alfoil test but without contaminating the water with foil fragments and is a much “easier, faster and cleaner” way of determining if your machine is performing correctly. Cost Effectiveness This reliable low cost instrument measures the performance of ultrasonic cleaning systems. The user can use it to easily monitor the performance of ultrasonic cleaners over a period of time. It can be used in place of the foil test and in various positions within the bath. Principle Of Operation The Ultrasonic Performance Meter monitors cavitation within the liquid medium in an ultrasonic cleaning bath. It employs a hand-held probe allowing measurements to be taken at various locations throughout the bath. The probe’s high sensitivity means that problems with an ultrasonic cleaner can be detected before they become critical. Easy to Use and Environmentally Friendly The pocket size meter is easy to use – simply press and hold the button to make measurements. The meter provides a brightly lit LED bar graph display. No maintenance is required for the probe or the meter except for battery replacement.
