SECURIFIX® forged stainless
steel
1 –GENERAL
1.1 -FUNCTIONS
-Devices to prevent falls from a height designed to only be used with personal protection
equipment, in accordance with European standards.
1.2 -FIELD OF USE
-Both inside and outdoors.
-All types of industries and locations
-At temperatures between -20°C à +50°C
-Suitable for concrete supports
-Generally, at the top of an access, in order to establish individual safety.
-Specifically for: the upper section of ladders without safety hoops because of the configuration
of the area; rooftops, building facades, window recesses, pit, mast coping...
1.3 – DESCRIPTION
Anchor points consisting of a single element:
A fixing rod attached to an anchor rings by an anti-rotation gusset
Material: Stainless steel 316 L
The fixing rod must be sealed into the concrete using a HILTI HY 150 resin.
Fixing rod: diameter 16 mm, length 130 mm, rough appearance.
Ring: 25.1 mm diameter hole, 13.8 mm diameter wire
Gusset: 7 mm length
NB: The anchor point is engraved with SECURIFIX® the serial number and the year of
manufacture, in accordance with NF EN 795.
2 - REMINDER OF STANDARDS AND TESTS
2.1 – REGULATIONS
This material complies with:
- the NF EN 795 standard dated September 1996. Classification number: AFNOR
S71-513
- OPPBTP recommendations, according to advice sheet A2M 02 811
2.2 – STUDY
The study was carried out by SOMAIN
2.3 – TESTS
The tests where carried out by the NORISKO EQUIPEMENT Services inspection bureau,
according to standard NF EN 795.
2.3.1 – Static tests:
Traction tests: report number 98.6.0503
2.3.2 – Dynamic tests:
Dynamic resistance test: report number 98.6.0503
2.4 – LOAD CAPACITY
2.4.1 – Anchor plate
During static tests, the SECURIFIX® forged stainless steel anchor point supported the load of
1000 dan, according to standard NF EN 795.
During dynamic tests, the maximum load obtained was 1410 daN.
2.4.2 –Support for SECURIFIX® anchor points
For safety reasons, anchoring support and anchor supports of SECURIFIX® must be able to
resists twice the load produced during a fall.
SOMAIN will communicate this value according to the installation's configuration.
Example: load applied for a 1 metre fall = 600 Kg
3 – INSTALLATION
3.1 – GENERAL
3.1.1 – The height of the SECURIFIX® anchor point must be carefully chosen, according to the
work or inspections to be carried out.
3.1.2. - The clearance, or pendulum movement, in the event of a fall, must be free of any
obstacle, even those which are occasional or temporary.
CLEARANCE RECOMMENDED BY OPPBTP, where possible

R=3m
3.1.3 – If electric cables, trolleys or mobile equipment are located close to or within the
clearance zone, you must plan to install safety notices with the principal
contractor.
3.1.4 – Orientation of the anchor points
The anchor point is correctly dimensioned to be suitable for major action, in
several directions:
PERMITTED ASSEMBLIES
F
F
F
DO NOT PERMIT ASSEMBLY AS FOLLOWS
Transverse action parallel to the support
3.2 – PREPARATORY WORK ON SITE
3.2.1 –Signature upon site opening (understanding of CHSCT rules, creation of safety
instructions…)
3.2.2 – Installation of one or more temporary "life lines" (operator safety)
3.2.3 – Site inspection with elements in our possession: Report
3.2.4 – Commissioning of one or more gantries
NB: chapter 3.2.3 may result in a site stoppage.
3.3 – WORK ON REINFORCED CONCRETE POSTS
3.3.1 – Inspect the quality of the concrete in documentation or on site. Examination of spalling,
sclerometer hardness test, or core samples. Report.
3.3.2 – Verification of the position of reinforcement or cladding.
3.3.3 – Drilling of anchor holes according to template and in the correct orientation for the
anchoring support jib.
SOMAIN RECOMMENDS:
- This anchor point is designed to be fixed exclusively using HILTI HY 150 resin.
- 20 mm diameter drilling
3.4 – WORK ON PRESTRESSED CONCRETE POSTS
- Drilling must not be permitted without permission from the principal contractor. In
this case, you must check the position of the framework and prestressed cables
on site.
- Should the opposite be the case, provide for support collars for the anchor
components. Contact us for dimensions.
3.5 – ON-SITE TESTS
For A1 class materials corresponding to the material supplied, "anchoring support jib", a test
must carried out on all plugs, prior to them being used.
This test, according to the NF EN 795 standard, consists of applying an axial traction force of 5
KN to check its solidity, for at least 15 seconds.
