Geopath is a fully integrated CAD/CAM system developed with the real machinist in mind. It is easy to learn, easy to use and a complete tool for all your CNC machines. SolutionWare provides Geopath and has been servicing CAD/CAM solutions to machine shops and plants for over 33 years. Geopath is designed to help you to learn, program, and cut fast: you’ll get more done in less time. Easy to learn, Easy to use: Menus and Tool-bars, numerous checks and pop-ups to guide new or inexperienced users through the CNC programming process by warning them of errors there may be in their NC programming before it goes to the shop floor. Access multiple functions (run-time calculation, tool-sheet G-Code output and others) from one screen with the click of a button.• One program for all your machines: Once you program the part you can simply switch the post-processor designation, and Geopath will switch the NC code for the other NC machine – you don’t have to re-program. For Mazak users, you can program your parts and output them directly to Mazatrol. This is available with the optional MazaCAM Editor & Utilities module.• CAD File loading capabilities: Program on the computer, not at the CNC: Load IGES, DXF, CADL, CL, NC files and more for tool path development. IGES file import checks for errors and repairs them before loading the file. Tool path can be created directly from the CAD model.• Programming on the shop-floor, out amongst the chips flying and material being moved around, it is hard to concentrate and especially on a lathe, where typically a new part needs to be loaded about once a minute, you lose your train of thought. This not only makes it harder to program, but more dangerous, because you can easily forget one little detail that results in a machine crash. To program on the lathe with no other jobs running, you are tying up a perhaps $100,000 piece of equipment, when the same job (programming) could be being done on a perhaps $9,000 computer & Geopath CAD/CAM. Solid Rendering of Turning Geometry: Render your 2-axis lathe geometry to view a picture of the actual part.• Post-processors output code to run YOUR machine: Universal post-processor that outputs edit-free code to your control. Post-processors are user modifiable: you can control whether you want canned cycles or not, tool-radius comp or not, has calculation abilities, supports several arc formats and much more. If you have to hand-edit every program that comes out, even if a single code here and there, you are asking for trouble and stress. With Geopath you can configure your output to match the control you are programming the part for. The software lets you specify the coding for each of the machines in your shop to your shop’s requirements, not something off the shelf that might be close but not exactly what you need.•
