Machining of OD

We recommend to grind the outside diameter of composite bearing which is composed of filament wound fiberglass-epoxy.

Machining of ID

Machining of Mostuf bearing ID depends on the material of bearing layer. MOSTUF T and MOSTUF F bearing can not be machined because their bearing layers consist of PTFE fiber. MOSTUF P bearing which consists of filled PTFE Tape and MOSTUF S bearing which consists of high strength synthetic fiber can be machined by lathe.

Cutting of Bearing

It is desirable to utilize a diamond wheel in order to cut composite bearing materials. In
