Power
Voltage	MUST BE	12 Volts or more on the terminals.
A battery	MUST BE	rated higher than 12 Volts due to normal voltage drop.
Rechargeable supply	MUST BE	non operational when switched to recharge.
PLC connections	MUST BE	as specified in the user manual, preferably grounded.
Pipes
Extension pipes	MUST BE	of internal diameter 3.5" min and length of 25 cm max.
Extension pipes	MUST BE	preferably plastic and non-perturbing into the tank.
Positioning
Distance to tank walls	MUST BE	at least 50 cm. Add 10 cm spacing for each 1m in range.
sensor	MUST BE	exactly perpendicular to the surface of target.
Programming
Tank height, level/distance	MUST BE	configured correctly.
SBD	MUST BE	configured in flange / extension pipe based installations.
Interfering signals	MUST BE	defined when tank is empty.
Physics
Acoustic noise and vibrations	MUST BE	minimized, reducing interference with echoes.
Physical obstacles and dust	MUST BE	absent along the echo path.
Electrical interference	MUST BE	shielded away from power and sensor cables.
