Sokkia’s 3-D measuring solutions can play an important role during this quality control. Especially when doing the periodical dimension- tolerance measurements of the bogies. When using a template for measuring the bogies the technician is able to check one complete bogie within 20 minutes. This measuring technique is also very cost- effective for measuring tram bogies and during the production of new trains. For this reason the German railway is already using 40 MONMOS systems to guarantee safety. Sokkia realizes that effi ciency and precision are very important terms in the shipbuilding industry.
